as families in the community. Our Family Support program also offers caregiver support
and education classes.
Karly's Law
Medical exams and medical record reviews for children who have suspicious physical injury where there is concern the injury may have been caused by abuse.
Karly's Law Requirements
Recent changes in Oregon state law requires investigative agencies to seek medical expertise when children are found to have suspicious physical injuries. The Children's Center serves as Clackamas County's Designated Medical Provider in cases of suspicious physical injury of a child as identified by law enforcement and/or Department of Human Services representatives. The Children's Center assists referring agencies in treating, documenting and reviewing these cases and also participates in maintaining records and ensuring compliance with the law.
Community Education

These include prevention and general child abuse training as well as specialized
training based on need and interest.
