Referring Professionals

The Children's Center can be helpful to the needs of law enforcement personnel, Department of Human Services child welfare workers, local health care providers and other professionals who interact with children when there are concerns of abuse. Our staff is available for consultation and medical second opinions when appropriate. Our family support professionals are happy to talk to families and others concerned about a child's safety to provide information and support.

Complete medical assessments are sometimes the best next step in considering a child's health and safety. The Children's Center assessment team has the specialized training and expertise to work with children and families to document, diagnose and recommend treatment related to neglect and abuse.
